Date: 8-14-770
4:30 pm at the Foxglove townhouse in Magnimar. Much discussion is had to determine the next course of action. Finally, the party decides to follow up on the clue that lead them to the Shadow Clock. Kaylee shrinks the two dead faceless stalkers and takes them with them to Underbridge. The party leaves the townhouse at around 5:00 pm. By the time they get to Underbridge, the sun is setting and they get a little creeped out about going into the Shadow Clock at night. They dump the shrunken faceless stalkers in an alley. The party desides to go to the Seven's Sawmill to follow up on the lead about Ironbriar.
The party arrives at the sawmill and watches briefly from the outside. It appears to be a normal operating sawmill, they see no unusual activity outside. More discussion leads the party to leave before entering the sawmill. They decide to try and obtain some information about Ironbriar from someone in Rag's End. At a bar called "The Crossroads" (open front bar with tables on sidewalk and into the street) the party meets a human named Avorlin. He is willing to talk to them and they basically buy him drinks all night. They discover that Ironbriar is a Justice in Magnimar. This turns the party off to confronting him right away. Avorlin tries to entice the two ladies (Ysenia and Kaylee) to get a room with him. Kaylee declines, but Ysenia stays the night with him (they get freaky). The rest of the party retires to the Foxglove townhouse and sleeps the night.

8-15-770
At dawn, the party reconvenes and flies invisibly to the top of the Shadow Clock. They encounter Xanesha, a female Lamia Matriarch (serpent form). An epic battle ensues. During the conflict, Del is killed. The party is eventually victorious, and Del is ressurected by Kaylee's Breath of Life spell. During the battle, the party heard heavy footfalls coming up the rickety stairs; three faceless stalkers were coming to aid Xanesha. Before they could arrive, the party slew Xanesha. They waited a few minutes for the faceless stalkers to come up to the top of the tower, but they do not arrive. The party discovers a strange scroll hidden among her nest with a list of names, some crossed out. After looting her body, the group decides to clear out the rest of the tower.
The faceless stalkers seem to have fled and the party meets no resistance going down the tower, which is a good thing since they are low on magical strength. At the bottom, they encounter a strange flesh golem, it appears to have some sort of sentience or rudimentary intelligence. It finds the party too difficulty to fight while they are able to fly in the tower. It leaves and the party cautiously follows. It waited in ambush just outside the entrance and almost took off Ysenia's head. The golem fled into the streets. The party cornered it in a small home. Brutal battle... it is a very tough creature.

Stop mid-combat... It is not going well for the party and they are out of magic. They consider options for calling for help.
