2am: The party waits for morning at the sawmill.  They discuss the plan for dealing with Ironbriar.  In Ironbriar's office, they find a grisly scene.  "The walls of this room bear macabre decorations—human faces stretched flat over wooden frames by strips of leather or black twine. Each face grimaces in a slightly different expression of pain, looking down on a cramped room that contains a desk, a high-backed rocking chair, a large footlocker and a low-slung cot heaped with scratchy-looking blankets."  The party tosses the room looking for any further clues and confident that the macabre faces will be more than enough to corraborate their story of Ironbriar's involvement with the murders.

In the footlocker they find: A vast oddment of items including - books, sea charts, etchings of vast rock formations and dolmens accompanied by maps, several pamphlets discussing a “forgotten” school of magic known as "The Alchymyc", and a fine painting depicting a city carved from a vast frozen waterfall with towering ice cathedrals and domes. Near the bottom are several books. The first of these appears to be a wizard’s spellbook emblazoned with two entwined snakes (one red, one green); it has not yet been opened. The second book is an old and beautifully filigreed tome containing numerous hand drawn illustrations and titled The Syrpents Tane: Fairy Tales of the Eldest. Finally, a slim volume near the bottom of the chest appears to serve double-duty as a ledger and journal for Justice Ironbriar. He’s recorded everything in the journal in a cipher he painstakingly invented himself; the party recognizes one of the languages used as elven.  They suspect that at lest two other languages are used, but are unsure what they are.

8am: Brad casts mystic portal and Kaylee and Ysenia go back to the Pediment building.  valerie is waiting for them and she brings a crew to investigate the sawmill.  The party leaves after giving their statement.  They are asked to stick around in case they are needed for anything.  They turn over the journal to Valerie for deciphering.

A week passes... the party takes some time off and recuperates.

Having not been needed for the "investigation", the party decides to return to Sandpoint.  They arrive in the morning and find Sheriff Hemlock at the Rusty Dragon.  They get him up to speed with everything that happened in Magnimar.  The party then speaks to Brodert and gets more information about Thassilon and the Runelords.

Following up on info from Brodert, the party decides to go back down into the catacombs to see if they really can turn off the runewell under Sandpoint.  Upon further investigation (and with Brodert in tow), the party discovers that the catacombs were previously devoted to Alaznist (Runelord of Wrath) and repurposed to the demon-goddess Lamashtu.  While exploring the catacombs again, they revisit the "levitation room". This strange room consists of a fifteen-foot-diameter sphere. The most unnerving aspect of the room is the walls, for they are plated in sheets of strange red metal that ripple every once in a while with silent black electricity that seems to coalesce into strange runes or even words far too often for the effect to be chance. Brodert identifies the letters as being from the Thassilonian language and picks up stray words having to do with anger, wrath, and a need for revenge.

1pm: The party uncovers the runewell that Vosh had previously sealed with stone. After much deliberation they decide to drain the runewell by summoning sinspawn by voluntarily dropping their own blood into the well.  Brad begins and does this twice.  Ysenia drips her blood into the Runewell of Wrath each time afterwards.  They kill all the sinspawn that emerge (one at a time) and succeed in "turning off" the runewell.  The party leaves the catacombs and returns to Sandpoint.  Today is Kaylee's birthday and they plan to celebrate.

They spend the late afternoon and early evening in Sandpoint, celebrating with friends and townsfolk at the Rusty Dragon.  Many of the people they have encountered in the last few months stop by to wish Kaylee a happy birthday.  During the festivities, Jack indicates that he is interested in joining the party.  They respond favorably, but it comes out that he has some history in Magnimar.  He divulges some of it and the party accepts him.  He will share more details at a later date.

9pm: Once Brad has recovered enough magical energy, they portal back to Magnimar (with Jack in tow) and decide to hit the town hard and party well into the next morning.  Ysenia (and Jack) lead the bar-crawl through some of the more well known bars in the upper city.  A great time is had by all.

The group crashes after the birthday celebration night.  Jack is sleeping on the couch in the den when he is awoken by a delivery at the door at around noon.  After some awkward interactions with the party, he wakes up Kaylee to tell her that she has a package that is delivered.  The group goes on alert and opens the package carefully after checking for traps and preparing to negate any magical attacks.  She opens the gift to find a fine painting and masterwork frame inside.  It is from a Sir Garvin Hostaadt.  He wishes Kaylee a happy birthday and request the honor of her company for lunch (no date is specified - it is an open invitation).
